Cinfest - Festival Management

We are planning to introduce a new festival in India which has never been done before. Our group wants to create a festival which runs on the philosophy of Netflix and chill. The festival will be 3 days long, preferably in winter (around Christmas/winter holidays) and we want to provide our audience with an open movie theatre.


The audience will be provided with wireless headphones, just like the headphones used in silent disco, so there is no disturbance. We will have 3-4 different screens which will be featuring different genres of films like romantic, horror, thriller, etc. I also made some 3D Designs for this hypothetical project.




PROMOTIONAL STRATEGY


Welcome kits

We want all the people coming to our festival to have a welcome kit. The kit will include products like Sanatizer, Mask, Earphones and a theme inspired journal. We will be collaborating with brands who sell these items (eg: Dettol,Sony, Skullcandy, etc). Not only this but also we will be adding a logo of our festival on all the products.


Launch event

In the afternoon we will have regular meet and greets with popular influencers and TV/movie stars but on the first day we will have an exclusive launch event with Netflix. We will be inviting celebrities of a popular movie/ series to have a seminar and later a meet and greet.


We will be sending a personal invitation to all the influencers on our list. We will be sending a PR package which will have all the products mentioned in the welcome kit (Sanatizer, Mask, Popcorn, Journal and tote bag) perfectly laid in a stunning box. The package will also include a copy of our festivals ticket and a personalised card. Through this strategy, influencers can promote our event by unboxing the PR package on camera.


Festival campaign


#OptOutside is a campaign through which our festival will promote open air movie theatres. Due to corona people have stopped going to movie halls and are watching everything online in their home. So with this campaign we would want our audience to come outside and watch movies with their friends and family. As it is going to be outside there won't be any centralised AC. Also we will be taking all the precautions. Hence, with this festival we want our audience to enjoy a unique experience without getting scared.
